About Hare Hollow
Hare Hollow was inspired through a cooperative of farmers, all striving
to produce really good 'California Olive Oils.' By enabling us to crop-share
from some various olive groves in different areas of the state, we have been
able to come up with some nice extra-virgin olive oils. We invite you to try
some of them, and see for yourself how good they can be and share them with
friends and family.
About Lisa Hemenway, the new owner of Hare Hollow
Lisa Hemenway is blessed with living and working in the gorgeous wine
country of northern California. Natural pairings of regional fresh foods
with the wonderful wines produced in the area have provided her with years
of exciting culinary opportunities. Growing up in Northern California her
uncle and grandparents had orchards of almonds, olives, walnuts and oranges.
All through her youth she helped pick olives and watched her grandfather
make vats of cured olives. Her school was next door to Del Oro Olive Oil
Company.
Lisa has owned restaurants, bakeries, designed kitchens and worked as an
executive chef in Vietnam and Singapore. Lisa has cooked for and entertained
wine makers, chefs and dignitaries throughout the world using the finest
ingredients while supporting local growers and producers. She still has all
the excitement and enthusiasm about food, cooking and entertaining. At age
20 Lisa began her career by opening the Whole Hearted Baking Company in
Sonoma County. From there, her career has taken her along many paths;
all lined with cuisine designed to sooth the soul and inspire the
imagination. Try some of Lisa’s exquisite oils and vinegars in your recipes
or try one of Lisa’s recipes. She is certain
